The Pax Process
Schedule Your First Session
When you, the parent or guardian, reach out to us, we will first request to schedule a free, 15-minute consultation with you and/or your child via phone to get more information about what help you are seeking and ensure that we would be an appropriate fit. We will then schedule an initial evaluation and intake session (90 minutes), and discuss the appropriate therapy structure for your particular case.
Build A Relationship
Therapy begins with the initial intake session, which takes about 90 minutes. A part of this session we may integrate parents or other significant family members into the process. We use this time to discuss goals for your therapy and begin building a relationship.
Establish A Plan
Subsequent sessions can be scheduled and a roadmap ("treatment plan") for your therapy will be started based on your needs. We can also determine whether to integrate others into your sessions if needed. However, the focus of therapy is always on you — not the others in the room.
Meet & Adjust As Needed
Subsequent session are between 50 to 60 minutes in length. In these sessions, we will work collaboratively to tackle the presenting problems using the approach mapped out in our treatment plan. We will work together to find you peace.
